In the away leg a fortnight ago in Kampala, Cosmos suffered a 0-1 defeat raising fears of a premature exit in their maiden participation at the prestigious African Champions league. However, Cosmos who have been waning since the beginning of the national championship, metamorphosed to wallop their opponent and qualify for the 16th finals.

There will therefore be two Cameroonians teams at the round of 16 of the African championships league as Cosmos would join Coton Sport who was exempted from the preliminary round of the competition due to their track record. On the contrary, there will be no Cameroonian representative at the round of 16 of the African confederations Cup as the two Cameroonians ambassadors engaged in the contention were butted out at the preliminary round. After conceding a zero-to one defeat in the away leg, Panthere of Nde who are no new comers to the continental scene were again humbled 0-1 in Kagali yesterday by local side, Rayons Sport of Rwanda.
