Competitive Entrance Examination into the different Teacher’s Training Colleges in the country has been launched for the 2010/2011 academic year. Competitive Entrance Examination into various cycles of Teacher’s Training Colleges in the country has been launched. The Minister of Higher Education recently signed a text fixing the number of places available. The examination which concerns the Higher Teachers’ Training College (ENS) of the University of Maroua, the Advanced Teachers’ Training College (Annex Bambili), University of Yaounde I and the Advanced Teachers’ Training College (ENS) Main Campus, University of Yaounde I, involves many departments and subjects.

Some 1675 places are available for candidates who will undertake the competitive written examination for admission into the First Cycle of the section for Student-Teachers in Secondary General Education in the Higher Teachers’ Training College of the University of Maroua. Meanwhile, 990 places are available for the Second Cycle of ENS Maroua. 735 places in different subjects are also available for students who will undertake the competitive entrance examination into year one, First Cycle of the Advanced Teachers’ Training College, Main Campus, of the University of Yaounde I which will be written on Tuesday 6th July, 2010.

460 places are also available into year one of the First Cycle of ENS Annex Bambili, University of Yaounde I. Competitive entrance examination into year one of the first and second cycles for Technical Teachers of the Advanced Teachers’ Training College Annex, in Bambili University of Yaounde I for the 2010/2011 academic year has also been launched with 330 places allocated for the first cycle and 245 places in the second cycle.

The Ministerial Order also indicates that 745 selection places for readmission into year one of the second cycle at the Advanced Teachers’ Training College, University of Yaounde I are available while 410 selection places for readmission are allocated for the competitive entrance examination, General Education, into the first year of the second cycle of ENS Yaounde I for the 2010/2011 academic year. The examinations are organised in one sitting and are open to Cameroonians of both sexes following conditions stipulated. Foreign candidates may be admitted to sit for the examinations in the same academic conditions according to the number of places available, in conformity with the regulations in force.
