The Minister of Basic Education was in the Government School , Ediki, where she took and handed the keys to South West Regional Delegate of Basic Education.

Schools will resume in the South West Region, 6 September, with the capital of classrooms raised by 18 thanks to the European Union (EU). The EU handed over to the Cameroon Government 18 classrooms and two Head teacher offices constructed in six primary schools of Fako and Meme Divisions last 1 September 2010. Joseph Claude Gwed-Bi-Minyem, National coordinator of the European Development Fund for Cameroon addressed the large audience at Ediki (near Kumba).
