Bangante : Governor Ivaha Diboua Appeals For Politics Of Togetherness Among Nde Elite


West governor Ivaha Diboua Samuel Dieudonne has called on all alite of Nde division to practice politics of togetherness and good neighbourliness, stressing that togetherness is the only factor that can promote sustainable development in any community. He emphazized that they must be a productive political dialogue among elite if they want to realise their dreams of developing in their division.

Governor Ivaha Diboua Samuel Dieudonne was addressing the population of Bazou, Tonga, Basamba and Bangante subdivisions, during the 3rd lap of his contact tour, aimed at making face to face maiden contact with the population of these administrative units, months after he was appointed as first aver governor of west region. The tour that began on September 23rd and ended of September 24th also gave the governor the opportunity to have contact with administrative, political, traditional and religious authorities of these areas.During public working sessions that focused on establishing co-operation and collaboration with the people and administration,aimed at fighting corruption, promoting hygiene and sanitation in their administrative units, and above all encouraging farmers to affectively prepare themselves towards the Ebolowa Agro-Pastoral show,the Governor called for mortual understanding between the population and adminietration.

Governor Ivaha Diboua to show concrete proof that he understood the aspirations and anxiety of the people, he took time to assess some situations and identifying adequate response strategies at different stops to meet the specific needs of the different people and subdivisions, and those he could not find immediate solutions he promised to forward them to the right quarters. On the problem of civil servants who abandon their working post, especially teachers, governor Ivaha Diboua emphasised that every patriotic Cameroonian should be prepared to work in any part of Cameroon, pointing out that it will be shameful and discouraging to hear a Cameroonian refusing or being reluctant to serve his fellow citizens in any part of the fatherland. He however admitted that a shortage of staff in public service was nationwide.

Turning of youths and HIV/AIDS, the governor reminded parents that it is useless to give birth to children without good morals. He called on parents to educate thair children of the existence of HIV/AIDS. Calling on students to avoid indiscriminate sexual habits among students, warning that the outcome will be disastrous.

In politics, the governor called on the population to register massively on the voters lists, and praised the sons and daughters of Nde for being so dynamic and industrious and called on them to create development associations in their various villages for sustainable development.

In Tonga subdivision, the MP for that constituency Hon. Feutheu Jean Claude pleaded with government to raise Tonga to a division, saying that some subdivisions that were created together with Tonga are celebrating their 10th anniversaries as full divisions.He said Tonga has remain faithful to the new deal and needed compensated. In other places like Bazou, mayor Nana Sandjo Jean Pierre, like his colleagues of Basamba, and Tonga called on government to create public services and equips them to serve the population. Mayor Oya Fanja Rigobert complained of lacked of pipe borne water, and electricity in some areas, no teachers in government colleges and lycée Bandounga-Tonga. They all hawever thanked government for its decentralisation process.
