Population Told To Be Vigilant by the governor.

West Regional Governor Ivaha Diboua Samuel Dieudonne,has called on the population of the west Region to remain vigilant,after one case of cholera epidemic was reported in a locality known as Marka,situated some few kilometers on the outskirks of Foumbot subdivision in the Noun Division of the west Region.

The Governor was addressing Journalists of both the public and private press in his office,monday 27th September,hours after visiting the patient in his isolated hospital bed at the Foumbot districk hospital. According to Mr.Ivaha Diboua Samuel Dieudonne the victim 26years old Ngagna Ousseni was rushed to the districk hospital Foumbot on September 26,after he fell into a coma from a pesistant running stomach.The Governor told journalists that the medical doctor incharge of the Foumbot districk hospital Dr.Bouba.after sensing danger minutes after the patient was admitted,kept in him in an isolated room.He said sample of hes stool were immediately fowarded to the Centre Pastor in Yaounde for further confirmation,but remarked further that the signs got on the spot confirmed that it was cholera.The Governor said all materials in hospital have been sterilite to pre-empt further contamination.

Governor Ivaha Diboua told Journalists that th victimNgagna is reported to have attended aburial ceremony last weekend in the area where he mixed up with people from cholera zffected regions.He however expressed happiness that the population was far from panicking.The Governor has however called on the regional commissions charged with the cholera monitoring to intensify thier search and prevention sensitization campaign.
