The Government Delegate to the Kumba City Council, Victor Nkele Ngoh, has hailed the great accomplishments so far realized in his Municipality thanks to President Paul Biya. And because of these achievements, he promises that the population will vote massively for President Paul Biya come the 2011 Presidential elections. Speaking to CAMNEWS, the Government Delegate said he will contribute his own small quota to enable President Biya win the 2011 elections in Kumba by highlighting the President’s fulfilled promises to the people. Victor Nkele said based on these realities, he will urge the population to vote massively for the President.
Amongst the achievements, he cited the tarring of the Muea-Kumba road, and the approval made for the tarring of the two kilometers Buea Road to the Town Green in Kumba. “With this, he merits a landslide victory here in Kumba,” the Government Delegate said. He also mentioned the installation of the special Rapid Intervention Police Force in Kumba to check the skyrocketing wave of banditry and criminality. Curbing and fighting insecurity, the Goverrnment Delegate noted, was one of several promises made by President Paul Biya to the inhabitants of Kumba. He also mentioned the creation of the young farmers project in Ikiliwindi to empower the youths to earn a decent living.
The Delegate holds that President Biya will not only receive massive votes from Ikiliwindi youths, but from the entire population. Apart from encouraging the youths of Ikiliwindi and youths in other parts of the South West Region to generate their personal income, the Government Delegate highlighted President Biya’s assistance to other farmers to improve in their livelihood, assistance to the vulnerable, women and social affairs in the form of loan schemes.
For his Council activities, the Government Delegate revealed that he will soon organize a trade fair to boost tourism while at the same time generating income for the Municipality. With the trade fair, the social and cultural diversities in Kumba will be show-cased. In order to enhance and accelerate the development of Kumba, the Government Delegate said the would be institution of the five year development plan for Kumba will bring all development stakeholders together to come out with projects suitable for the development of the city. He also promised to rehabilitate the Amusement Park to generate more income for the Kumba City Council.
Talking about this working relationship with the Mayors of the three Sub- Divisional Councils, Victor Nkele Ngoh described it as cordial and friendly. Adding that he and the three Mayors need to work together for the development of Kumba. Asked how he will like to be remembered, the Government Delegate said as a man of transparency, good management, probity and most of all development oriented.
