CPDM Fako III Begins Field Deployment

Section President, Mbella Moki Charles, called a strategy-mending meeting attended by elite, bureau members, MPs, and traditional rulers from the Buea constituency.

As the registration of voters, in preparation of the 2011 presidential election rages on under the National Elections Cameroon (ELECAM), leaders of the Fako III Section of the ruling party, have overhauled strategies to enrol as many favourable voters as possible.

At a recent emergency meeting convened in the Buea CPDM Party Secretariat by the Section President, Mbella Moki Charles, one of the strategies adopted to overhaul the slow-paced registration machinery was for the Section EXCO to visit over 30 Sub-Sections of Fako III. As such, Mbella Moki has since embarked on combing all the villages and quarters to sensitise and convince the electorate to cooperate by registering massively.

To succeed, the Buea Section of the ruling has won a significant battle of sinking differences within the party. The new camaraderie climate has led to a smoother cordiality among militants of the three wings; WCPDM, YCPDM and the main CPDM. As the Section boss, Mbella Moki, explained, and corroborated by Buea MPs and elite, the upcoming electoral consultation to choose the President of the Republic is paramount and superior to individual and local interests.

Given that “the music has changed, the dancing must mutate equally to suit the new dispensation”, speaker after speaker took the floor to underscore at the Buea Meeting alluding to the new body (ELECAM) now charged with running elections in Cameroon. MPs, Emilia Lifaka (Vice Speaker of the National Assembly) for Buea Rural, and Adolph Ngale for Buea Urban graced the meeting alongside some traditional rulers of the area.
