Newly appointed officials into the central services of the Ministry of Energy and Water Resources (MINEE) have been commissioned into their functions with a call to leave nothing to chance to ensure that the ministry succeeds in its missions at all levels. Commissioning the officials appointed by a Ministerial Order of November 2, 2010, the Secretary General of the Ministry, Fritz Gerald Nasako, said the context under which they are appointed should be a booster to spur them into efficiency. Given that some of them are occupying posts that have been vacant and others replacing some either going on retirement or transferred, the SG enjoined the appointed officials to give the added push needed of them to what the ministry has been doing.
He said given that they are appointed at a time giant projects are announced in the energy, water, petroleum and gas sectors, they must work to ensure that the roadmap of the ministry which revolves on producing and distributing these indispensable products to the public is attained with efficiency. “Show proof of abnegation, professionalism and punctuality in the treatment of files”, he urged, stressing that they must integrate the new management technique of being results-driven to live up to expectation.
