Another gospel album has hit the music stands in Cameroon. Janny Tambe known by her artistic name as “Queen Janny” of the Prophetic Gospel Music Outreach officially launched her first gospel album last Saturday in Yaounde. The title of the album “His promises Are True” contains inspirational gospel songs sung in “Bayangi” and English. Coming from a family of singers, Queen Janny has been in music for the past ten years. Queen Janny is a pastor at the Great Change Embassy in Yaounde. Her angelic voice is an inspiration to lovers of gospel music. She said she was motivated from the goodness of God in her life. “God has been giving me the inspiration to compose songs,” she said. According to Janny, the message she wants to pass on to the public is that God is never too late because his promises are true. “It is for us to hold fast on the word of God,” she said.
Speaking during the launching Rev. Pastor Kukwa described Queen Janny as a star that has come to shine and must be supported. According to Queen Janny her limit is the sky. “I know my limitations are not just her in Cameroon because I am going across the nations,” she said. She said she sings in Bayangui because it is her dialect and she wants to pass on the message to the Manyu people. “By God’s Grace I will even sing in French in my next album,” Producing the first album has not been an easy task for Queen Janny. She said she lacks sponsors but she gives thanks to God for providing her the means. She said she choose to sing gospel music because she is a child of God and by his is grace she is a pastor. Queen Janny however assured the public that her next album will be a booming one by the Grace of God. She also gives thanks to God for the talent of music in her family because she sings with her brothers and nieces. She said the advice she has for God’s children is that they should have patience with God. “The bible says we should cast our burden on to God and he will take control of them,” she said.
Queen Janny hails from the Manyu Division in the South West Region. She is the seventh child in a family of eight. Being the seventh child she believes is a prophetic number. Queen Janny is married and mother of four children.
