After meeting Mr Yang, Bruno Lafont told the press that he used the courtesy visit to “discuss the partnership between Cameroon and LAFARGE Group, the cement and construction market in Cameroon and how we envisage the future” Bruno Lafont disclosed that he was currently visiting many countries to meet employees of his group and local authorities, stating that since Cameroon and LAFARGE Group are partners in CIMENCAM, it was normal that he met the Prime Minister.
The boss of LAFARGE Group stated that their partnership with CIMENCAM, that was founded in 1963, was promising a lot of fruits. “Recently, we increased investment in new equipment in order to make Cameroon have independence in cement supply”, he revealed. He further declared, “we want also to improve the cement quality by innovative products, solutions and services making sure that we can contribute to the development of the construction of more economical and beautiful houses in this country”.
Mr Bruno Lafont was accompanied to the Prime Minister’s Office by the Board Chairman of CIMENCAM, Professor Pierre Moukoko Mbonjo, among other personalities.
