Creation of University of Bamenda:Students Thank Head of State

The Minister of Special Duties at the Presidency, Rene Sadi has described Cameroonian youth as people who have always stood by the Head of State, His Excellency Paul Biya in all circumstances. Speaking yesterday December 23 at the State House while receiving a crowd of Yaounde-based university student members of the ‘Association des jeunes pour la promotion des valeurs citoyennes’ who had come to express their appreciation to the President for what he has been doing for them; especially the recent creation of the University of Bamenda, Mr. Sadi described the action of the students as a testimony of the high esteem they have for the Head of State and the love and support Cameroonian youth have continued to show him and his policies since he came to power.

“What you have done is just a beautiful example of patriotism, show of good training and responsibility, worthy of emulation by other Cameroonian youth,” the Minister declared. He said the President was grateful for the spontaneous massive organization of the solidarity march by the students; describing it as an acknowledgment of what the Head of State has been doing for them. “The maturity, sense of discernment and loyalty of the great majority of Cameroonian youth has never been put to question when it comes to distinguishing the genuine from the fake, and the truth from lies,” Mr. Sadi assured. He said what makes the Cameroonian youth unique is that they have always chosen the right path.

He described Cameroonian youth as exemplary; reason why the Head of State was proud of them. Their solidarity march to the Presidency, he continued, was a renewal of their confidence in their leader in view of the presidential elections of 2011. “This is not just a show of confidence in His Excellency Paul Biya, but in the future of our country,” he concluded.

Speaking to the press, Etandene Gaston Albert, reiterated the fact that the solidarity march to the State House was their way of showing gratitude to the Head of State for all his good works for the youth; especially the recent creation of the University of Bamenda. An estimated crowd of some 3,000 university students took part in yesterday’s solidarity march that took off from the May 20 Avenue in downtown Yaounde. They carried banners bearing messages of gratitude for the creation of the University of Bamenda; pledging to put their hearts, feet and voices at the service of the Head of State.
