Bamenda Paymaster General Feeds Prisoners at Christmas

It was Christmas without tears for Inmates of the Bamenda Central Prison, thanks to the generosity of the Paymaster General of the Bamenda Treasury Station, Khan Moses Payne who doubles as a “Man of God”. Ahead of Christmas day, December 25, 2010, the Man of God was in the Bamenda Central Prison with a lot to offer Inmates with a cow, bags of rice, groundnuts, oil and CFA.200.000. The welcome gesture was to enable inmates celebrate the birth of Christ Jesus without the feeling that they are less human beings because of their confinement.

Presenting the gifts, Khan Moses Payne urged the inmates to be good, disciplined and prayerful while waiting for their prison terms to end so that they could emerge as veritable nation builders. He said it is circumstances that took them to prison and they must not consider themselves condemned. Khan Moses Payne promised to be back more regularly with gifts for the Inmates if they remained disciplined. Curtains dropped on the event with a lot of hope for inmates with the Man of God stating preparedness to be back with special healing prayers. On-the –spot, he equally promised to make available three TV Sets and three Decoders within 72 hours to lift the social life of inmates. It was in response to a request by the inmates who want to be informed and entertained while in prison. On hand to cheer the event were the Regional Delegate of Penitentiary Affairs, Musi Mc Tatah and the Administrator of the Bamenda Central Prison, Njeng Daniel.
