The three boys were delivered at the Bamenda District Hospital (PMI) Nkwen.

Prisca Lukong and Lendzele Pascal all 35 are the privileged parents of the triplets that are said to be the first in 2011 in Cameroon. As healthy as they are, they kids are the talk on every lip in Bamenda. People keep rushing to the maternity section of the Nkwen District Hospital known as PMI to get a glimpse of the children. The children that were delivered at about ten minutes past noon on January 1, 2011 are in good health. The mother of the children, Prisca Lukong, was on her third delivery after having two girls during the first two births. After three deliveries, she now has five children. According to the medical doctor on duty, Dr Ndifor Ignatius, the first child weighed 2.8 kilogrammes, the second 2.6 kilogrammes and the third 2.5 kilogrammes at birth. He said the children were in good health and will probably leave the hospital next week. He said with the least weight being 2.5 kg, the boys and their mother are in a stable condition. He said the mother went through normal delivery with no complications and was delivered by a nurse. According to the mother, who is a housewife, the children are a real gift from God. She acknowledged that during ante natal clinic, she was told that she will have twins but to her greatest surprise, she had triplets. With smiles she said “1 am so happy, it is such a wonderful gift from God.” She said her greatest wish is that God should provide for them to be able to take care of the children. She said the breast milk is not enough for the children as such they have started receiving artificial milk. For her husband Lendzele Pascal who is a commercial bike rider, it was such a pleasant surprise. He was very happy but acknowledged that with their limited means, it will be difficult to bring up the children. He appealed for the kind hearted to come to their aid.
