PM Installs Commission to Recruit 25,000 Graduates

The Prime Minister, Head of Government, Philemon Yang on Friday, February18 instructed members of the Coordination and Supervisory  Commission responsible for the recruitment of 25,000 graduates into Cameroon’s public service,  that they have five months to translate into concrete reality the directives of the Head of State with regard to the recruitment.  The Commission is headed by the Secretary General at the Prime Minister’s Office, Jules Doret Ndongo with the Assistant Secretary General at the Prime Minister’s Office, Emmanuel Nganou Djoumessi as the vice chairperson.

The 15-member Commission will have to follow the guidelines contained in the organic framework of the recruitment operation, the Prime Minister signed earlier last Friday. The Prime Minister enjoined the members to be competent, transparent, objective and equitable as they carry on the duty. They have to appreciate the modalities and selection criteria and propose to the Head of Government better ways of conducting the exercise.

The Commission has the responsibility to coordinate, orientate and evaluate the recruitment exercise. The members are expected to approve the terms of reference and programme for the recruitment, deliberate on proposals presented by the Technical Committee, validate the list of selected candidates, control the process and supervise the communication strategy associated with the recruitment exercise.
