The availability of water, electricity and accessibility will determine which of the three plots of land will be retained. The Minister will chose between 10 hectares in the neighbourhood of Ntafubuh, Bamendankwe village in Bamenda I, over 20 hectares in Ntambang, Nkwen in Bamenda III and over 20 hectares in Atsumsam, Mankon in Bamenda II Subdivisional councils. Song and dance cheered President Paul Biya for his concern for the health needs of the region as Minister Andre Mama Fouda went visiting the proposed sites. Accompanying him were mayors and traditional council leaders of the respective villages who worked hard to present their offers as the best.
Minister Andre Mama Fouda also visited another proposed site for the imminent construction of an x-ray centre for the Bamenda Regional Hospital. He launched the Centre for the Treatment of Diabetes in Children and sized up treatment for simple malaria at the Azire Integrated Health Centre and the Nkwen Baptist Health Centre before ending at the one-year old Regional Haemodialysis Centre of Bamenda Regional Hospital.
