UK Gets Set For Explosive London 2012 Olympics

British High Commissioner to Cameroon H.E. Mr Bharat Joshi has assured sports lovers in Cameroon that everybody who qualifies for a visa from Cameroon and other CEMAC countries will be given entry permits to travel to the UK for the London 2012 Olympics.

Mr Joshi was speaking on State television, CRTV, Tuesday as he announced the state of preparedness of the city of London to host the Olympics, 500 days to go from the event.  “The 2012 Olympics provide an opportunity for the UK to rebrand itself as a modern, culturally diverse, innovative and business-friendly place with the highest of standards you can think of,” he said. “We are inviting Cameroonian sports persons and visitors to take advantage of opportunities the games will provide to excel in their trade, network and do profitable business”.

 The spokesman for the UK’s diplomatic mission to Cameroon – Abel Akara Ticha – said infrastructure work towards the games is about 80% complete and announced that tickets will be on sale until the 26th of April 2011. Ticket buyers could log on to the web address www.kingdommsg.com for details or seek the advice of Cameroon’s National Olympics Committee. The London Olympics will run from 27th July to 12th August 2012 in an exciting new East London. It will be the 3rd time the city will be hosting the game since 1908.

British Prime Minister David Cameron has termed the event  “the greatest show on earth” and has urged visitors to go and discover why the UK is one of the best places to live, work, visit and do business.
