Wabane CPDM Unites To Give Biya 100 % Victory

Members and supporters of the 23 Sub-sections of the ruling Cameroon People’s Democratic Movement (CPDM) of Lebialem III (Wabane) Section last Saturday, June 11 re-stated their commitment to stand by President Paul Biya, Chairman of the CPDM, whom they declared their natural candidate for the upcoming presidential election and promised him 100 per cent votes. This was on the occasion of the joint section conference at Wabane on the theme, “Unity, Dialogue and Development”.

The Secretary General of the CPDM Central Committee, René Sadi was represented by a delegation led by Mefiro Oumarou, Secretary of State in the Ministry of Transport. Addressing the CPDM supporters, Mr. Mefiro said, “I have seen committed militants, responsible militants, well informed militants and above all, diehard and determined militants ready to live up to challenges with President Paul Biya”. He promised them, “I will tell the Secretary General that in Wabane, I have heard only one united voice that is the voice calling for mobilisation of all Lebialem III militants for the landslide victory of the CPDM in the forthcoming presidential election” adding that, “I will equally tell the Secretary General that faithful Lebialem III militants merit more encouragement and attention”. He said the upcoming presidential election was an ideal occasion to choose to build the nation under the leadership of President Paul Biya.

Speaking during the conference, the CPDM Resource Person for Lebialem III, Lekunze Jacob Ketuma, Special Adviser at the Prime Minister’s Office, urged party supporters to register massively on the electoral register, carry out door–to–door campaign to those not in the CPDM, explain Biya’s gifts to Wabane Sub-division and give President Biya 100 per cent votes in the upcoming election. He cited Biya’s gifts to Wabane to include nine post primary government schools, 45 primary and nursery schools, a district health service with seven integrated Health Centres, noting that work was on ongoing on road infrastructure.

Chief Forshung Francis Leku Azenaku in presenting the theme of the conference, “Unity, Dialogue and Development”, said, it concerned all the key actors in Wabane development such as party militants, local party leaders, external leaders of the CPDM, traditional rulers and members of the elite. He said all these actors need to work and sacrifice for the election of the CPDM candidate without calculations for Wabane to sustain its ongoing development.

Other speakers included the Lebialem III CPDM President, Ketu Israel Nembo, WCPDM President, Alice Lekunze and the YCPDM President, Chief Fondungallah Nkemteba Joseph.
