Victorien Hameni Bieleu
The presidential candidate of the Union of Cameroon Democratic Forces (UCDF), targets development projects.
Dr Victorin Hameni Bieleu will be running for the October 9, 2011 presidential election on the ticket of the Union of Cameroon Democratic Forces (UCDF). He proposes to transform Cameroon with major focus on boosting the economy and undertaking regular inspection tours to ensure that government projects are properly carried out. His party is one of the oldest in Cameroon that was created in 1990 and legalized on March 1, 1991 following the re-introduction of multi-party democracy.
The UCDF presidential hopeful was born in 1949 in Bafang, Upper Nkam Division of the West Region of Cameroon. He is holder of a doctorate decree in Political Science (Geopolitics and Geostrategy) from the Université de Paris X, France in 1981. He has worked as advisor in the Ministry of Defence and at the Joint Chiefs of Staff, Director in National Defence Permanent Secretariat attached to the Presidency and lecturer in the Yaounde Combined Services Military Academy (EMIA) and the Yaounde National Police Academy.
Hameni Bieleu believes in transforming Cameroon and getting power through the ballot box. UCDF was part of the parties that constituted the Union for Change in the 1992 presidential election and also participated in the 1997 legislative and council elections. Dr Hameni Bieleu was the UCDF flag bearer in the 2004 presidential election. He also headed the list of his party in the legislative election of July 2007 in the Upper Nkam Constituency.
