Nyamndi George DOBGIMA
He is candidate of the Social Liberal Congress (SLC).
Sixty-one-year old Nyamndi George Dobgima (PhD) is a university lecturer who hails from Bali Nyonga in the Mezam Division of North West Region. He submitted his candidature for the October 9, 2011 presidential elections in the Buea regional office of Elections Cameroon at 12:30 pm on Saturday 3 September as second candidate on the register.
Holder of a Doctor of Philosophy, PhD degree in Literature from Lausanne, Switzerland, Professor Nyamndi has been teaching in the University of Buea since 1993. Married and a father of many, Professor Nyamndi is the candidate of the Social Liberal Congress (SLC), legalised in June 2000, with headquarters in Buea. In 2004, he ran as presidential candidate and lost; although he considers it as being “A first and unique opportunity for me to strike a perfect acquaintance with the Cameroonian people.” He goes further to say that the past seven years have been time for him to mature.
Nyamndi is the current Vice Dean of Studies and Students Affairs in the Faculty of Arts, University of Buea. He sees the up-coming election as an opportunity for Cameroonians to place themselves in the path of sustainable development. This is why his campaign slogan is “Good governance as a salutary way forward.” To him, arguments about so many candidates are irrelevant as “The best candidate will always emerge from this multitude.”
