The government has assured the public of the availability of insulin that is used in regulating the level of blood in diabetic patients, reports the Cameroon Radio Television, CRTV radio.
According to a release issued Monday October 17 in Yaounde by the Minister of Public Health, André Mama Fouda, the interruption experienced in the supply of insulin in the country in September has since been corrected and enough quantities dispatched by the National Drug Procurement and Distribution Centre, CENAME, to hospitals across the country.
Consequently, all diabetic patients in the country are requested to go to the nearest hospital for their insulin injections.
