Last Honours for Police Commissioner Haman Adama

His mortal remains were buried in his home town in Gaban Kaélé yesterday October 30.

It was a rather gloomy morning at the National Advanced Police College in Yaounde on Thursday October 27. The event was the final farewell ceremony for the late Police Commissioner, Haman Adama who died on October 19, 2011 in Yaounde. Friends, relatives and colleagues could not hide their emotions as the last respects were being paid to the late police commissioner. Born about 1963 in Gaban Kaélé in the Far North Region, Police Commissioner Haman Adama did primary and secondary education in Kaélé. He later moved to Maroua where he obtained the Probatoire D and the Bacalauréat D in Government Bilingual High School Maroua. He joined the police force in 1981 and got admission into the National Advanced Police College in 1985. He graduated as police commissioner in 2006. Since then he had held different positions in the police force. Before his death, he served at the Special Commissariat of Mayo Darlé in the North Region. Haman Adama served the police force loyally for 26 years. He leaves behind his wife, several children and grand children to mourn him. His mortal remains were buried in his home town in Gaban Kaélé yesterday October 30.
