The third and last phase of the submission of files and the signing of contracts of pre-selected candidates for the recruitment of 25,000 people into the Public Service began yesterday November 9 in all the regions of the country. The last phase involves the names of short listed candidates published as from October 20 2011 and is composed of journalists, office clerks, administrative and technical staff, among others. Candidates have up till November 19 to submit heir documents. At the Governor’s Office in Yaounde yesterday, thousands of youths thronged the main entrance carrying files and waiting anxiously to sign their contracts.
The official in charge of the reception of files for recruitment and signing of contracts for the Centre Region, Koa Otsili Medzogo, said what is going on is the final selection phase which will be on the basis of the files for recruitment that the candidates submitted earlier. She explained that working sessions are organised to enable them receive candidates well and give them all the information they need and to ensure that files for recruitment which they submit are in conformity with the requirements of the Ministry of Public Service.
Koa Otsili said all the lists of pre-selected candidates have been published. Consequently, the commission is receiving documents of all those who were pre-selected. She added that some candidates were pre-selected but have not submitted their files. She said it is when they must have submitted their files that all the files will be scrutinised then the presidents of the technical and the supervisory committees will proceed with final recruitment and posting of the newly recruited. Koa Otsili, called on candidates who did not submit their files during the first and second phases to do so now as this was the third and last phase for the submission of files. She also called on the media to sensitise the candidates to submit their files. Concerning handicapped candidates, she said in the list of candidates pre-selected, handicapped candidates were also considered.
