Christians Pray for Success of Major Accomplishment

The close to 200 young people asked God to drive projects in the current mandate of the Head of State to a wonderful success.

Born by the Collective of Cameroon Christian Youths (COJEUNEC), the special prayer service, which held at the Party House in Bonanjo, Sunday, sought the intervention of God in the minds of all stakeholders in Cameroon’s vast infrastructural projects.

The faith-based association, during prayers and exhortations led by Prophet Emmanuel Kwanga and attended by prominent political and government figures in the region, implored God for divine values such as integrity and honesty, true commitment and self-control, transparency and judicious management of state resources, as well as sanity in project execution. Serge Samuel Doumbe Bille, COJEUNEC President, underscored the hand of Jehovah in the nation: “Our country has been protected from any insurrection. We are thanking God for crowning Cameroon with peace before, during and after the October 9 presidential election. It is important to thank Him for sparing us from what inspired in countries like Egypt, Libya. God has given us the second chance of peace and it is important that we go back to Him; ask Him for intrinsic values in the management of our projects so that His hands remain upon this nation.”

Speaking around the topic “Prophetic Political Restoration”, the President of New Popular Movement (NMP) party, Banda Kani, said God is Almighty politician, imploring Him to manage state affairs is the beginning of personal and national wisdom. “Peace in Cameroon should not be looked upon as of man – it’s God-given and biblical. We pray that Jesus Christ who is already with our President, Paul Biya, continue with Him to guarantee peace in Cameroon, justice and sound management of government business.” In allusion to the theme of the religious service: “What COJEUNEC thinks concerning the ‘Major Accomplishment’ process”, Banda Kani said calling on the prayer-answering God to steer our infrastructural projects is first and foremost.
