In the African Confederations Cup, Union of Douala who emerged third in the championship will have to slug it out with Kallon football club of Sierra Leon. The Nassaras Kamakai are already used to the competition and will certainly have no difficulty to overcome the hurdle of the Sierra Leonean club. Unisport of Bafang who have been absent from the African scene for a very long time, will make their entry against Sewe Sports of Cote d’Ivoire.
The away leg matches are scheduled to take place from February 17 to 19 and the return leg matches will be played between March 2 and 4, 2012. It has been a long time since a Cameroonian club rose to the top of the firmament in an African competition and it is expected that this time a Cameroonian will lift one of the continental trophies or at least make an honourable performance. Luckily the competitions will take place after the championship must have resumed thus making the players fit for competition.
