Koundi Ngonda Payong, woman about the age of 50, bashed her friend husband’s head with a heavy stone over promiscuity accusation.

The population of Cité Cicam ran into confusion as they woke up to the cruel murder of one of theirs last Monday, one day after New Year Day celebration. Awakened by a shrill alarm at about 6:30 a.m. from the compound, the population which was still suffering from hangover of New Year Day celebration summoned the courage to help out on their neighbour.The alleged murderer, discovering that the 63-year-old Pierre Tchouanké crashed into a pool of his own blood, carefully slipped off the scene clearly evading the mop which had poured into the compound almost immediately. Before the population ran into a furious manhunt after Koundi Ngonda Payong even before gendarmes’ arrival, the assaulted man’s wife reeled desperately upon her husband.

Pierre Tchouanké later died at the Deido District Hospital at about 10:30 a.m. that Monday, January 2. Recounting the incident that led to the grievous assault, the deceased man’s wife told neighbourhood gendarmes that Tchouanké accused her friend of promiscuity, flirt and coquetry. Eyewitness reports hold that there was had been some in-house quarrels over the wife’s attitude during the feast of January 1 that linked to the visiting Koundi Ngonda. The latter turned left, then right and lay hold a big stone which she hit upon his head provoking a blood fountain, which did not end with his collapse at the balcony but subsequent death at the Emergency Unit of the Deido District Hospital. Security investigators say they want the collaboration of the population to be able to arrest and bring the perpetrator to book, to set the example that would stamp out such follies in society.
