CDU MPs Mobilise Supporters

They toured Noun Division from January 20 to 25, 2012.

Members of Parliament for the Noun Centre Constituency of the Cameroon Democratic Union (CDU) have completed a one-week contact tour of that constituency. The MPs were accompanied by the National President of CDU, Dr Adamou Ndam Njoya. The people’s representatives explained the 2012 State budget and new laws voted in the last session of the National Assembly.  

The four MPs; Hon. Tomaino Ndam Njoya Hermine Patricia, Hon. Mounchipou Yacouba, Hon-Peyipahouo Riratou and Hon. Simon Koupenju explained the projects carried out with micro-finance funds to the people of Bangourain, Malentuen, Kouoptamo, Foumbot, Koutaba, Massangam, Njinka and Foumban. They cited the construction of classrooms, health centres, water supply and many other socio-economic achievements.

The spokesperson for the MPs, Hon. Tomaino Ndam Njoya Hermine Patricia, explained the role of MPs in the National Assembly. The CDU officials used the tour to mobilise supporters for the upcoming council and parliamentary elections.

CDU National Chairman, Dr Adamou Ndam Njoya commissioned the District Committee executive members put in place to manage the upcoming legislative and council elections in all the eight council areas of Noun. He thanked supporters for the great victories they won at the last legislative and municipal elections.  On decentralization, Adamou Ndam Njoya said it has come with the needed changes; that of the transfer of competence to local authorities, adding that it is important to develop the tremendous potentials of the economy at local level.
