Land Development Plan Entices Korea

The Korean Ambassador to Cameroon, Cho Jun Hyuk, paid a courtesy visit to the Ministry of State Property, Surveys and Land Tenure yesterday January 25.

The Minister of State Property, Surveys and Land Tenure, Jacqueline Koung à Bessike, had discussions with the Korean Ambassador to Cameroon, Cho Jun Hyuk, yesterday, January 25, in Yaounde. Speaking during the audience Minister Koung à Besike presented the major projects of her ministry, notably the drawing up of the national land development plan. She disclosed that the project has been evaluated at FCFA 87 billion.

On his part, Ambassador Cho Jun Hyuk said the purpose of his visit was to first of all congratulate the minister for her recent appointment as Minister of State Property, Surveys and Land Tenure. He said he believes the ministry performs a very important function inside the government because it is drawing up a land development plan which will form the basis of economic development in the country. The diplomat said he also came to see the minister to find ways of cooperation with the Cameroon government because Korea would like to be a genuine partner in the economic development of Cameroon.
