He is a nurse today thanks to carving and youngsters he has trained are living thanks to technology transfer from him. “It is through carving that I paid my fees in the nursing school. I have also trained so many young people to take the relay when I retire,” he told Cameroon Tribune at the SIARC village. “Nothing can stop me from carving. In fact, I enjoy it. Only death will separate me from the art,” he said. He appreciates the improvement in the organisation of the ongoing third edition of SIARC. Exhibitors, he said, are better handled and the evaluation better than that of 2010. But some of their products like his carved bed, large table and other household utensils are yet to get the recognition capable of making them indispensable items in most households. He remains hopeful that the contacts created would make businesses better for him in the days ahead.
