Members of the Organising Committee, including the Regional Delegates of Youth and Civic Education, and Sports and Physical Education, as well as the Economic Adviser to the Littoral Governor’s Office has come up with the final modalities for the celebration. These include timetable for all activities beginning with the official launch to the end of march past on February 11. Same Mbou Samuel, Youth and Civic Education Delegate for the Littoral called on all academic institutions to participate to register as soon as possible. Emphasis was placed on encouraging self-employment among young people through their inventions to be showcased in the course of the activities gearing up to the D-Day. Activities such as volunteerism, cultural display and community health topple the agenda.
Back in schools, preparations ahead of the day culminate with those of the National Bilingualism day being celebrated today. Since the week started, march past and music rehearsals preoccupy most pupils, particularly in the morning when first two lessons are being suspended.
