Donga Mantung Mobilised To Vote CPDM

Party officials and traditional rulers last January 28 in Nkambe drew up strategies.

January 28, 2012 was crucial for traditional rulers, Ardos and the ruling CPDM in Donga Mantung Division. They filed out in Nkambe to chart a new course for the division that is committed to progress with the Champion of the October 9, 2011 Presidential election, Paul Biya. The event was a working visit by an illustrious son who doubles as the Secretary of State in the Ministry of Mines, Industries and Technological Development, Fuh Calistus Gentry. To demonstrate their commitment to stand by President Biya, leaders of all the five Sections of the CPDM in Donga Mantung and over 60 Fons and Ardos gathered for the event. It illustrated the preparedness of a division that is poised to rise to expectation in supporting the Head of State, recognised in Donga Mantung as someone who delivers for the development and progress of Cameroon.

The gateway to success is found in the strategies developed to ensure that CPDM supporters effectively register ahead of the 2012 legislative and municipal elections. It was resolved that all conflicts within the party must be settled following party texts. Women, recognised as a force in society and politics will be seen to play more important and frontline roles in the CPDM Central Committee and at the grassroots. Accountability and transparency were also prescribed as key pillars to move the CPDM forward in Donga Mantung. In motions of support,  the traditional rulers and all CPDM Sections pledged support for President Biya.

Fuh Calistus Gentry retired from the outing in Nkambe with traditional blessings and a traditional regalia from the custodians of Donga Mantung customs. They thanked President Biya for retaining their son, Fuh Calistus Gentry in the government following the Cabinet reshuffle of December 9, 2011. The Fons equally appealed to the Head of State to improve the State of roads, stepping up security in the very long and strategic border with Nigeria, lift the status of traditional rulers and create a new Region with Nkambe as the capital. Also around to cheer the event were members of the elite like Dr Tanya, Prof. Stephen Jikong and Adamu Musa.
