Relations between Cameroon and Benin were yesterday February 8, 2012 reviewed in an audience granted the former President of the Benin National Assembly, Bruno Amoussou by Cameroon’s Minister of External Relations, Pierre Moukoko Mbonjo.
Trade exchanges between both countries remain a point of interest as business people will be happy to reap the fruits of the good relations that exist between Cameroon and Benin. “Commercial flights from Douala and Yaounde to Cotonou are always filled with business people from Cameroon which testifies that no problem exists between Yaounde and Cotonou,” Bruno Amoussou said. He added that the cordial relations between the two Heads of State have not only contributed in understanding between the two countries but also in the opening of new avenues.
Integration between the two countries, Bruno Amoussou said, was important for the follow-up of relations on the continent. “In the world of today, our States are putting much effort to satisfy the aspirations of the people but the effort could be multiplied if we could come to a common consensus on the modalities of better cooperation,” he explained.
Bruno Amoussou described the discussions with the External Relations Minister as “one of the best things that happened to me during this visit, especially with experiences shared.”
