They made their stance known yesterday February 14 in Yaounde during a press briefing after meeting the Prime Minister, Head of Governmenst, Philemon Yang. During the audience, they handed a memorandum in which they denounced the granting of authorisations by government and its passiveness with regards to the rise in the number of these private medical institutions which fall foul of all rules, ethics and professionalism.
Nonetheless, they suggested the rehabilitation of state-owned hospitals wherein better professionals could be trained. They cited the example of the University Teaching Hospital in Yaounde whose graduates have given a good image to medical practice in Cameroon.
