The Minister of Women’s Empowerment and the Family, Prof. Marie Therese Abena Ondoa will today launch activities marking the week.
The North West town of Fundong in Boyo Division will today Tuesday February 21 witness the launch of activities preceding this year’s International Day of the Woman.
According to a release from the ministry, Prof. Marie Therese Abena Ondoa is also expected to visit the activities of local women’s groups and commission the Fundong Women’s Empowerment Centre.
The theme of this year’s celebration – the 27th edition – is ‘Empowering the rural woman to combat hunger and poverty.’
