Yaounde: New ENAM Boss Urged to be Transparent

The call was madeon thursday by the Minister of Public Service and Administrative Reforms.

Transparency, objectivity, and integrity in the admission of students into the National School of Administration and Magistracy (ENAM) Yaounde are the guidelines that have been given the new Director General of the institution, Linus Toussaint Mendjana.

The call was made yesterday March 15 in Yaounde by the Minister of Public Service and Administrative Reforms, Michel Ange Angouing as he commissioned the new ENAM boss.

Competence, Michel Ange Angouing specified, is what is needed of graduates of ENAM as the country works towards modernising the Public Service. He therefore urged the new ENAM boss to stop at nothing in making sure that he is efficient in whatever decision he takes and implements. To maintain the reputation the school has gained nationally and internationally in terms of quality training, Linus Toussaint Mendjana will have to implement recommendations made by the Head of State, Paul Biya, on December 1, 2009 as he chaired celebrations marking 50 years of the institution.

The recommendations, Michel Ange Angouing explained, had to do with meeting challenges of the changing world. The school, it was said, has undergone several reforms to meet the changing environment. Michel Ange Angouing hailed the outgoing Director General, Benoît Ndong Souhmet for his six-year tenure. He expressed government’s gratitude for his commitment and drive to move the institution forward.
