The annual conference of officials of the central and decentralised services as well as the technical units of the Ministry of Women’s Empowerment and the Family opened in Yaounde yesterday April 12. The theme of this year’s conference is “The road map of the Ministry of Women’s Empowerment and the Family: Implementation requirements and strategies.”
Speaking at the opening, Minister Marie Thérèse Abena Ondoa said the ministry plans to put in place measures to promote the wellbeing of women and families in Cameroon. The objective of this year’s conference is to ensure the effective and efficient putting in place of the ministry’s road map for 2012. The opening ceremony took place in the presence of cabinet ministers, authorities of the Centre Region and guests.
For two days, participants will evaluate the level of implementation of recommendations of the last annual conference as well as listen to lectures on drafting a road map, following up its implementation and evaluating its success.
