The young star’s ambition is to reach the ends of the earth through his songs.
A new gospel album has hit the music stands in the country. The album “L”Essentiel” by Logtega is the third gospel music by the artist. L’Essentiel comes after “Code J” in 2004 and “Spiritual” in 2006. It has seven songs which do not only show of his maturity in Christ but also his artistic work. The album was officially launched on June 10, 2011. In the album the artist talks about the love of God which according is without any conditions and which he calls “L’essentiel” or the essential for a stable life. “Today we give more value to dresses which the body wears and we do the same by loving life more than He who gives us in abundance God through Jesus Christ,” he said. According to the artist, the album is a call for all to reconsider the place which God occupies in their daily lives and to enable those who listen to the word of God to change positively to a new relationship with God.
Logtega whose real name is Luc Logmo Etega was born in Douala, Cameroon on a certain December 8. He started his musical career in Douala as a pianist in a local choir “The Covenant Voice” in 1997. Full of conviction on the importance of gospel music in the society, the sweet psalmist decided to be the ambassador of Christ through his music in which the rhythms and sound varies between soul, slow, rub and afro folklores.
A plastic artist by profession since 1999, Logtega is a self made artist. He is a preacher of the gospel in South Korea where he resides. He carries out his ministry work within the framework of “The last hour mission”, a world evangelisation programme which he I the founder. He got his inspiration through his relation with God. His idol is Odile Ngaska, Board Chair of SOCAM who according to him played a great role in his career. His ambition is to reach the ends of the earth through his songs, a move which aims at touching youths and adults who are victims of drugs, prostitution and other societal ills through the message of hope, the gospel.
