« La construction du barrage hydraulique de Memve’ele est d’abord un projet structurant. Il participe du programme des Grandes Réalisations de chef de l’Etat. Ce projet va permettre d’augmenter la production d’énergie au Cameroun d’a peu près 20 %. Il y a Lom-Pangar, Mekin et d’autres projets dans le secteur énergétique. C’est un soulagement pour nous quand on sait que dans 54 mois, on aura 201 mégawatts additionnel d’électricité. »
