Douala IV Council and Petit Joss Get Libraries

The libraries were inaugurated in Thursday, June 21.

The Douala IV Municipal Council now has a municipal Library made up of some 4000 textbooks. The library is made of books not found in the universities and schools. And the books were gotten from door to door campaigns and other interested parties to solicit for books and text books which people offered for the libraries.

The Douala IV council Mayor appreciated this effort which the Douala has been privileged to receive among the many municipalities ear marked.

Also inaugurated was another Library for Petit Joss primary school Bonanjo. For a primary school to get a library is a very rear case. The library is made up of books which can also benefits the pupils and the teachers. The Regional Delegate of Basic Education lauded this effort and like Oliver Twist, she requested for more.

These libraries were realized through MTN Cameroon’s 21 day project, which is a yearly programme to enhance and empower the community. The project is funded by the staff of MTN group.

Lyna-laure Amana Priso, Corporate Executive Officer of MTN Cameroon said this project has been going on for six years now. The project she said is baptized 21 days of Y’ello Care. This year, she said they also built a primary school in Wafango, Garoua.
