MPs Envisage More Action On Sustainable Development

The Annual General Assembly of the network held yesterday July 3 in Yaounde.

Members of the National Network of Parliamentarians of Cameroon for the Sustainable Management of Ecosystems, Dense and Humid Forests of Central Africa (REPAR-Cameroun) have pledged to intensify the crusade for a sustainable environment.

Rising from their first General Assembly for the year at the National Assembly in Yaounde yesterday July 3, the MPs reiterated their commitment to continue with their engagements against climate change.

While opening the session, REPAR Coordinator, Jean Jacques Zam, enjoined members of the network to work for the benefit of all Cameroonians, especially indigenous people. He hailed the progress made by the network in training MPs, hinting that their next line of action will be advocacy with governments.

The meeting, the First Vice President of REPAR, Hon. Samuel Bokwe said, was to draw a balance-sheet of activities while projecting into the future.
