Baby 3 months old corpse, ears and sex organs chopped off dumped in a corn farm.

Police and medical staff of Foumbot district hospital have recovered the corpse of a baby, aged estimated about 3 months, in an advanced state of decomposition, dumped at the Banso neighbourhood in Foumbot. The sad incident has sent shockwaves through the town of Foumbot.

According to Assistant Superintendent of police, Jean Marie Njambo, of the Foumbot Public Security, the inhabitants of the Banso neighbourhood went out for a search on Sunday July 1^st after suffering from an unpleasant smell that filled the air around the vicinity. In the course of the search, they discovered the body of a dead baby with the ears and sex organs chopped off. He said the corpse of the dead baby was actually in an advanced state of decomposition, scaring the population to flee their houses to other neighbourhoods. Jean Marie Njambo said when the matter was reported to the police, he went to the scene with some medical staff of Foumbot district hospital, headed by Senior nurse Theodore Mfoukou.

He regretted that such incalculable destruction of human lives by immoral men was very disturbing, adding that the baby must have been stolen out of Foumbot town, and transported to Foumbot where the hideous crime was carried out. "It is undoubtedly correct to say that the baby was brought from a far distance, because one week after we sent out an SOS call about the murdered baby, no family has showed up in Foumbot," he noted.

On his part, the Senior nurse Theodore Mfokou who recovered the corpse with the police told this reporter that it was difficult to determine the sex of the 3 months old baby, because the sex organ and ears had been chopped off, and hair of the innocent baby roasted in fire. He said with the instruction of D.O for Foumbot the corpse were handed over to the Foumbot council for burial without the biological parents who were certainly not aware of the whereabouts of their baby. He said most of the stolen babies are drugged to render them unconscious and sleepy.
