A lecturer of the Yaounde I University is currently lying in a health centre in the Ngoa Ekele neighbourhood. He was wounded in a fight with Michel M. over the week-end because of Liliane T., residing at the “Ecole des Postes” neighbourhood. According to witnesses, Michel M., a shoe trader from the Yaounde Mokolo market, came to visit Liliane on Saturday 28th July. He could not enter the girl’s room because she was inside with her lecturer and lover Christophe W., who from inside told Michel to go and never to come back because Liliane belonged only to him. From outside, Michel M. replied that he had been dating Liliane since 2009 and she had already consumed close to 60 per cent of his business capital. Furthermore, he continued, they both left Dschang in 2010 for Yaounde and since then he had been taking care of her.
While Michel continued complaining that Christophe was sleeping in the room he rents and furnished for Liliane, the latter intervened from inside telling Michel that she could no longer continue their love relationship. Shocked by Liliane’s words, Michel asked her to refund what he had spent on her for years. Liliane replied “The lecturer will pay you back all the money you spent on me, just name the amount.” Michel became furious, entered the house forcefully and started destroying things. When Christophe tried to stop him, he pushed the lecturer who hit his head on the wall and became unconscious. Michel left taking with him the television set, gas cylinder, DVD set and several other items he had bought for Liliane.
Few minutes later, Liliane and her friends took the lecturer to a nearby health centre, in the Ngoa Ekele neighbourhood. Unfortunately, things turn out badly, as Christophe’s wife arrived in the health centre with huge men who got Liliane well-beaten. The lecturer and Liliane are presently receiving treatment in the same health centre.
