He was commissioned as new Secretary General of the ministry on Wednesday.

Professor Ivo Leke Tambo has been commissioned as the new Secretary General (SG) of the Ministry of Basic Education.

During the event yesterday September 25, presided at by the Minister of Basic Education, Mrs Youssouf Hadidja Alim, the new S.G was qualified as the “Right Man in the Right Place.” After going through the new SG’s curriculum vitae which started in 1951 at Lewoh, Lebialem Division in the South West Region and runs through some prominent schools in the country up to the State University of New York in 1980 with a Master’s Degree and a PhD in Curriculum and Teaching and later becoming a full professor in 2004.

Youssouf Hadidja Alim said Ivo Leke is the right man at the moment to continue with the implementation of the roadmap of the ministry as well as ensuring serenity and proper coordination of daily activities in the ministry. As former SG of the Ministry of Secondary Education, Ivo Leke says he masters his new post.
