The partnership with Cricket Without Boundaries is aimed at promoting the game in schools.

In its continuous effort to promote the game of cricket in Cameroon, the Cameroon Cricket Federation has liaised-up with a British charity known as Cricket Without Boundaries, CWB. The partnership is to assist the young federation promote the game in schools as well as curb the spread of HIV/AIDS.

Commenting on the partnership, the president of the Cameroon Cricket federation, Victor Agbor-Nso said, "It's with great joy and enthusiasm that we received the news of this possible and very exciting partnership with CWB. This partnership will not only have the great effect of combatting HIV/AIDS and suffering but will go a long way in furthering cricket development strategies in Cameroon. We at the Cameroon Cricket Federation are just excited about this," he stated.

Meanwhile, the Cameroon Country Manager, Jo North Clarke declared that "CWB is looking forward to a long fruitful partnership with the Cameroon Cricket Federation. The partnership is based on mutual aims and we have already started with the November trip which will see a mixture of coach education with local school teachers in Yaounde and Buea to incorporate HIV/AIDS awareness messages. This will be followed by school coaching sessions with local primary and secondary children culminating in a cricket festival for schools.

Cameroon has a solid foundation in terms of its cricket development and is now keen to harness the unique way CWB tackles HIV and AIDs awareness. With the support of three full time members of staff and eight part time coaches and development officers across the country, cricket is already being taught in many secondary schools in Yaounde, Buea, Bamenda, Douala and Limbe areas. The challenge now is to spread the development of cricket in primary schools and to train adults to coach the game.
