The document was made public in Yaounde on Thursday November 15.

The Statistical Year Book and the Social Map of the Ministry of Social Welfare was officially made public yesterday Thursday November 15 in Yaounde. The document which contains the statistical year book, the social map and an inventory of centers for caring of people with disabilities is the result of fruitful collaboration between the Ministry of social Affairs and the National Institute of Statistics (INS).

Speaking during the occasion, the Minister of Social Affairs, Catherine Bakang Mbock said the documents will contribute considerably on the giving a new approach on the management notably Results Based Management. She used the occasion to call on partners to support the process for the production statistical data for the care of vulnerable people in future.  The Ministry of Social Affairs has engaged in making available a statistical data for the drafting and implementation of policies and programmes in view of improving assistance, caring and empowering of vulnerable people.

The Statistical year book and the Social Map are two major planning tools which will enable the ministry work together obstacle which hamper efforts by works the Ministry of Social Affairs to improve on the conditions of vulnerable people.

Organised by the Ministry of Social Affairs the event took place in the presence of members of government, the diplomatic corps, authorities of the Centre Region and guest.
