Wouri GFAC Executive Commissioned

Their task will be to help register businesses owned by women.

Newly elected staff for the Wouri Branch of the Association of Cameroon Business Women (GFAC) have been told to overcome the challenges facing the womenfolk. Littoral Regional President of GFAC, Epouner Monque, made the call in Douala on Tuesday December 18, shortly before the official installation of the 10-member executive by the First Assistant Senior Divisional Officer for Wouri, Essono Bodo.

She exhorted the women to play leading roles to ensure that the rights of the female entrepreneurs are respected as well as fight towards winning the trust of financial institutions and people entering into partnerships with female entrepreneurs. Speaking on behalf of the new Executive Bureau, Judith Léa Ngayap, who is GFAC pioneer President for Wouri, underscored their determination to overcome the challenges, collaborate with the administration and the Association’s National Executive Bureau, led by Françoise Foning.

Other activities that the new team is expected to do is to help register businesses for female entrepreneurs who haven’t done so. It was revealed that GFAC has entered an agreement with the Ministry of Economy, Planning and Regional Development to register 800 women owned enterprises.
