A one-day ordinary session of the Senate of the University of Yaounde 1 took place in the campus of the institution yesterday, December 27, 2012.
The meeting which is the second for the 2011-2012 academic year, brought together senior lecturers and heads of institutions of the University of Yaoundé 1 as well as other senior non-academic officials of the university.
During discussions, the members examined and adopted the lists of certificate holders for the 2011-2012 academic year, the Doctorate degree programme, the rules and regulations for teaching, plans for the creation of new departments, promotion of lecturers registered in the aptitude list and advancement of lecturers.
The senate is the supreme academic organ in charge of academic and scientific affairs of the intuition.
