The Minister of Social Affairs received New Year Wishes from staff on Wednesday.

Punctuality, assiduity, respect for the hierarchy and celerity in the treatment of documents, among others. This was the call made by the Minister of Social Affairs Catherine Bakang Mbock during presentation of New Year Wishes on Wednesday on January 16 in Yaounde.  It was an opportunity for the staff to reflect on the activities of last year and plan for 2013. Speaking during the occasion, the Secretary General in the Ministry of Social Affairs, Rosalie Louise Aboutou gave an exhaustive balance sheet of the Ministry for 2012.

On her part, Minister Catherine Bakang Mbock said 2013 will be focused on the theme “Prevention, Solidarity and Results.” She said 2013 will encourage a platform for all partners available to work in the social domain. Also, it will be a year of permanent evaluation of results.  The major priority of the ministry is to consolidate the achievements of 2012 especially the implementation of the missions assigned the ministry by the December 9, 2011 Decree reorganising the government.

Minister Bakang Mbock cited some priorities for 2013 such as the completion and implementation of the National Prevention Plan for the fight against increasing social ills, fight against social exclusion and the consolidation of good governance, among others. She called on the staff to work hard in order to meet the task assigned to the ministry by the hierarchy. Meritorious staff were rewarded and gifts were equally awarded to staff due retirement.
