The association held a general assembly in Yaounde on Saturday Janury 26,2013.

Ephraim Banda Ghogomo is the new president of the Cameroon Chevening Association. The former Secretary General of the association was elected during an elective general assembly on Saturday January 26, 2013 in Yaounde. Mercy Afa was elected Vice President, Olivier Tumanjong, secretary general, Beatrice Ngum, treasurer and Sissako Tamko, publicity secretary. The new executive will manage the affairs of the association for the new two years.

The new President, Ephraim Banda Ghogomo said the new management will keep working hard so that the association will grow not only in quantity, but in quality. The out going President, Victor Elambo Nkeng, thanked the members for their support during the past four years and called on them to continue in the same light.

Earlier, members of Chevening Cameroon donated equipment to inmates of the Cardinal Paul Emile Leger National Centre for Rehabilitation of Disabled People (CNRPH) in Etoug Ebe, Yaounde in the presence of the British High Commissioner to Cameroon, Bharat Suresh Joshi. The equipment comprised water, food items, soap and other basic necessities worth FCFA 100,000. Ephraim Banda Ghogomo said the donation was within the context of London 2012 legacy, what people should remember after the 2012 Olympic Games and Paralympics where disabled people participated in an unprecedented manner.

The Cameroon Chevening Association is a legalised non-profit and apolitical association of Cameroonians who studied in universities in the United Kingdom.
