The new Secretary General of the UPC party, Robert Bapooh Lipot, has launched a clarion call to the party’s militants to register massively on the electoral list. This was during his presentation of New Year Wishes ceremony that held in Douala on January 10, under the theme: “UPC: Stakes and Challenges; mobilisation for massive registration on the electoral list.” Given the approach of the Senatorial, Legislative and Municipal elections slated later this year, he emphasised that this is the sole means through which the historical party can regain its stance
Robert Bapooh Lipot presented the state of affairs within the UPC party. He laid emphasis on the need to foster as well as consolidate UPC ideologies prone by UPC former Secretary General, Augustin Frederic Kodock such as alliance, ethnic conviviality, peace and dialogue. These according to him, are prerequisites for the country’s development in view of emergence by 2035.
