Of the seven presented in court, two were rejected, while the case was adjourned to March 25.

Once again, the rendezvous for the hearing of the case concerning the armed robbery at Ecobank Bonaberi, Douala, was respected at the Military Court on Monday March 11. This was a continuation of the February 25 session where prosecution witnesses testified. The hearing continued with Madam Bernadette, who during the last interrogation could not present the original copies of her medical certificates, corroborating the wound she sustained from a stray bullet on her left leg. The documents were retained as Exhibit “A” while she demanded FCFA 25 million as compensation charges.  The next person was a nurse by profession who received three bullets while on a public transport vehicles, about 200 metres from the crime scene.

The third testimony was an eye-witness account from the supervisor of security intervention at G4S, a security service agency in charge of guarding the Ecobank by day and night. He explained that he was at the bank premises around 10:30 pm for the usual check-up. He explained that a group of armed persons were approaching the bank, while shooting in every direction. He said he was shot on his right armed, while rolling out of the vehicle and the driver was shot in the head. Pretending to be death, he said, he saw two men approaching him. The two other witnesses were passersby who sustained bullet wounds during the incident. Meanwhile, two others were discredited by the defense. The case was adjourned to March 25, though the defense expressed the need to compel two prosecution witnesses to appear in court.
